The Information Centre offers users the possibility to learn about
illness and health on their own terms and according to their own
interests. SMIL will be a most important aid in this respect.
Previous posts include head of the Deichman Library's department
at the Norwegian National Hospital (1985-2000) with special
responsibility for library services within state health institutions in Oslo.

- Head for several years of the committee set up by the Norwegian Council
for Cultural Affairs to evaluate literature for children and young people.
Committee member of local organisations and special groups within the Norwegian
Library Association.
