Arne Svingen (37) is a writer, born, bred and
resident in Oslo.
He has written more than
20 books, mostly for children and young
people, but also novels for adults.
He has written plays for radio, a travel book about
Iran, film manuscripts and song lyrics.
At present he is editor of the periodical
Forfatteren and regularly takes part in public
literary debates.
He speaks Russian, is hopelessly interested in music and for the
past 15 years has been wondering whether
or not he should buy a car.
